Wild Fisheries Mapping Data

A core service of SFCC is to provide mapping data relevant to fisheries management

In addition to this provision, in recent years mapping data is becoming increasingly avaliable online. The following provides a list of spatial or GIS related datasets relevant to the fisheries sector in Scotland. New data sources are arising and this list will be updated as appropriate. Please contact the SFCC with any further updates to the list attached below.

Application of many of these datasets is featured in the SFCC training course: GIS for Fisheries Managers. Thanks go to Dr Nick Paling (Westcountry Rivers Trust) and Hilary Anderson (Marine Scotland Science) for their help in compiling this.
