Sparling Intern Project



An internship is available from 29th January 2018 until 22nd June 2018 (20 weeks) to work on a conservation and community engagement project focussed on sparling (Osmerus eperlanus).

Galloway Fisheries Trust is a conservation charity working on fish populations, their habitats and water quality across the freshwaters of Galloway. The successful applicant will be involved in undertaking tasks and responsibilities to deliver the ‘Saving the Sparling’ Project. The candidate must be fit, motivated, hardworking and willing to work outdoors including during poor weather conditions. There may be a requirement to undertake some lone working from time to time. A full valid driving licence is essential. The position will be based in Newton Stewart.

This full time, fixed term intern post would suit a recent graduate with a conservation, fisheries or freshwater ecology degree. Previous work experience is not required.
